Last quarter close?

3Q08 close is my 12th quarter close with this dynamic company. 15th October also marks my 3rd year in this company. How time flies.

Quarter close here usually means that it will be stressful and long working hours. You just have to pray hard that there will be no major issues throughout the close. Coming to work in the morning and opening the inbox is quite a nightmare. A lot of emails would have make it's way in when you are asleep. Clearing emails is really a chore.

Everyone works hard to meet the tight deadline. High focus is always on how much revenue and PTI. 5 straight days of morning calls with the US HQ for daily updates. If ones revenue get reversed after accounting assessment, the business people will come hunting you down.

Despite all of these pressure..I will miss working under this type environment. I am not sure if this will be my last quarter in this company. Just keeping my fingers crossed that it won't.
