Bali (Day 3 - 26th Jul 2008) Part 2

Kintamani

From Besakih, we headed on North to Kintamani which overlooks the spectacular crater of Lake Batur. Along the way, you get beautiful glimpse of Mount Batur which is situated on the rim of an active volcano.

From our lunch table at the Grand Puncak Sari, the view was simple breathtaking and wonderful. More beautiful photos from where we were seated.

Lunch was Rp98,010 per person inclusive of 21% government tax (approximately RM35). There was nothing to shout about for the food though.

We had to move on as it was almost 3.30 pm and it will take another hour to reach Ubud.

Tegalalang

On the way, we passed by Tegalalang which is famous for its rice terraces.

Ubud
We reached our 'hotel', Taman Harum Cottage approximately 5.00 pm. The moment we arrive at the driveway, I told Jo Anne that we make a good choice =). The whole area was surrounded with greens giving you a very relaxing and Balinese feel.

The Balinese style door to the room. What amused me about the door was instead of a door knob, we had to lock the door using a padlock through the door rings.

Check out the room. The room size was quite big given that we paid approximately USD$60 for a night.

After settling down, we went to Ubud town approximately 15 minutes away. There was free shuttle from the 'hotel'.

After a late dinner at the Mumbul restaurant, we headed back to the 'hotel' for the night.
