"Anyone can cook"..Ratatouille

I decided to watch Ratatouille alone and did so yesterday morning at Sunway Pyramid. KIASU!! I wanted to be an early bird to get cheaper ticket and also to avoid the human and traffic jam later of the day. Although watching it alone, I had a fun time at the movie.

Pixar did a good job once again by creating a great animated feature film. I enjoyed the Incredibles and also Finding Nemo the last time very much.

Plot
Remy is a rat, constantly risking life in an expensive French restaurant because of his love of good food, as well as a desire to become a chef. Yet, obviously, this is a rather tough dream for a rat. But opportunity knocks when a young boy (Linguini), who desperately needs to keep his job at the restaurant, despite his lack of cooking abilities, discovers and partners the young Remy. Its up to the two of them to avoid the insane head chef (Skinner), bring the rest of Remy's family up to his standards, win his partner a girl (Colette), and, of course, produce the finest Ratatouille in all of France.

Above: Some cute photos of Remy

Above: Remy overseeing Siene River which reminds me very much of the lush vision of Paris while I was there.

Above: Antono Ego, The ultimate food critic and feared by everyone in the world of cuisine. He is known as 'The Grim Eater' and his reviews can mean success or failure to a restaurant. I love the scene when Ego tasted the ratatouille, a bite that leads him to relive the childhood memories of his mother.

I did a quick Wikipedia to understand what Ratatouille is. It is actually a traditional French Provencal stewed vegetable dish originating from Nice.

Warning: SPOILER ahead for those who have not watch!!

All in all, I give it a two thumbs up and do not mind watching it again =).
