Ground pork patties

Matthias' waking time is longer now. That means lesser time to cook and some personal time too. Cooking needs to be done quickly because I never know when he will cry and needs the attention. Hence, simple recipes would be great. I stumbled upon this recipe from Little Corner of Mine and gave it a try yesterday.

Ingredient:
Ground/minced pork (about 250 grams)

Seasonings:
2 tbsp Hoisin sauce
1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce
1/2 tbsp Shao Xing rice cooking wine
1/4 tsp freshly crushed peppercorn medley/white pepper/black pepper
1/4 tsp paprika (I omitted this)
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cornflour

Method:
1) In a bowl, add in ground pork and the seasonings except cornstarch. Mix well and then add cornstarch, stir and mix well until sticky and gooey. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least an hour (I marinated overnight).

2) You can either shape the patties by hands and put it in a medium heat hot oil to pan-fry until cooked (I used a spoon to scoop up a sizable ball of ground mixture and put it in the medium heat hot oil and used the spatula to flatten it). Turn and cook both sides until done.

3) Dish out and serve.

This dish is so simple and delicious. Hubby also agreed that it tasted good. Will definitely try again.
