Jet lag still?
It's my 4th day in London. Not sure if I am still having jet lag. I have been awake at 4am London time daily, which means 12pm KL time. Oh well, hopefully the lag will go away soon.
So what's done in the past few days since arrival?
1) Had been calling headhunters and sending CV on Friday. Hopefully I can get a job soon. It's pretty scary not being able to get a job with the current economic situation now. What will I do if I can't find one in the next couple of months? It's not that fun sitting home and to be 'siu lai lai' to be honest. Keeping myself positive that something will come along the way.
2) Opened a HSBC account yesterday. Sigh..so 'ma fan' when you are a non UK residence. A lot of things require address verification ie.gas or electricity bill that is under your name or anything that proves you have UK address.
3) Was out with hubby's friends to the London Philharmonic Ochestra at the Royal Festival Hall yesterday evening. It was freezing walking in the cold weather.
What's next?
1) Learning to get around using the tubes, buses etc.
2) Start cooking. Brought some simple recipe books from KL. I've learned my way to the nearest supermarket in the neighbourhood. So that should be fine for grocerry shopping.
Hope to settle in soon. Feel so alienated at this point of time.
