Jumping @ Broga

Sometime in mid July (if I remember correctly), I went to Broga with Han San, Elaine and a few more of their friends for hill trekking. According to Han San, Broga is a must to go place because the view up at the Broga hill peak is very much like those in New Zealand. Since I've not been to New Zealand, it would be great to experience the view.

Broga village which is about 8km from Semenyih Town is situated in a valley surrounded by a range of hills on the left and right. To go there, just take the trunk road to Seremban from Kajang. Go past the Semenyih Police Station and just after the Petronas Petrol Station, there is a traffic light. Turn left and go through a winding stretch of road. After that, Taman Tasik Semenyih (residential housing area) is on the left and soon you will come to Nottingham University Campus. You will soon notice a barren hill with a beautiful hilly backdrop.

We departed from SS2 at 6.15 a.m. and arrived at the foot of the hill at 7.00 a.m. After parking our car, we start to trek up the hill. The trek up the hill wasn't very steep but for a person who is not 'quite fit' like me, I had to take short breaks in between to catch my breath. Along the trek were a lot of 'lalang'. So if you want to go there, please ensure you wear long pants and probably long sleeve shirt to protect your hands from getting cuts from the 'lalang'.

Along the way up, took some sunrise photos.

About 45 minutes later, we reached a flat terrain. The view from here was simply wonderful. You get a good view of the valley with the view below lie flatly in green.

Part of the valley was lighted up with some areas cast in shadow from the morning sun.

The trails..

And me beginning to get a little hype after the hike..

We continue to ascend another 10 minutes to reach another flat terrain. It was pretty sunny by then and some of us were already opening up the umbrellas.

Clearer view of Broga with the clear blue sky.

One last jump before we leave. I am so HAPPY! Very much like Mary Poppins right? HAHAHA!!
