Embossed 'Hei'
I finally went to collect my printed wedding card yesterday morning. This is how it looks like in actual..
Had both our names printed in gold on the cover of the card as mentioned in my previous blog. Nice?
As the red envelopes provided are rather plain, I dropped by The Papier shop at The Curve after work yesterday to check out stuffs that I could get to add a little touch to the envelopes. After seeking some advice from the sales assistant, I decided to embossed the bottom right hand corner of the envelope with the 'Hei' (Happiness) word.
Here's some samples done..in silver and gold colour. 'Hei 1 & 3' were embossed while 'Hei 2 & 4' were stamped with silver and gold ink respectively. Quite a difference between the embossed and ink-stamp one.
Decided to do the gold embossed to match back my card..close up as below.
It's quite some work to do. First, need to stamp the 'Hei' with clear embossing pigment. Then, to pour the gold embossing powder over the stamped 'Hei' and lastly, need to heat with an embossing heater. Since I didn't buy the embossing heater, I have to use the heat from the iron or the pop up bread toaster. I'll just take my time to do it since I don't plan to give the invitation so early.
Hope it will turn out nice as demonstrated.

wow, you bought the ink and the powder...I used to do a lot of this, but it's really tedious (at least for me) so suggest you start early, and most importantly don't let the envelope get burnt!
Yea..bought it. Plan to do like 40-50 one weekend. So hopefully one month can complete 200 envelopes =)
