Gown fitting

I was pretty excited about the gown fitting session I went for last Friday. Mum could not make it at the last minute, so I was there alone.

I arrived at the bridal house about 1pm. After running through the photo shoots preparation list with the staff, we proceed to try the gowns. She started off by asking if I have any preference or style that I like. Errrr..to be honest, I don't really have. I was open to suggestions. It's true that what you like may not look nice when you actually wear it.

My task was to choose 3 gowns (1 wedding and 2 evening) which will be used for the indoor shootings. For the outdoor shoots, a simple dress or gown will be choosen on the photo shoot day itself. As for the traditional costume, I think I will settle for the 'kua' after all. It's quite nice now that I've seen more actual photos of other brides. Hopefully, it will look nice on me.

I tried on about 7-8 wedding gowns. Boy oh boy..hard work!! By the time I tried on the final wedding gown, my face already turned red because it was hot even standing right under the aircond. A little tip from the staff is that because the the gown is for photo shooting, I need to choose one that is more elaborate preferably with longer train so the effect will be nicer in the photos.

For the evening gown, I was advice to choose sharper colours. Finally settled for one maroon and one chiffon yellow. Hopefully my choice will make a good combination of styles and colours in the album later =).

As much as I would like 'curi curi' to take photos, I can't unfortunately. I'll try my best to post a pre-wedding photo shoots teaser if possible. All in all, it took me only 1.5 hours to choose 3 gowns. Some brides-to-be take 5-6 hours to do so. Wow!! A bit the 'kua' rite? Hahaha!!

Task for the next 3 weeks before the pre-wedding shoots on the 20th May..SLEEP EARLY!!
