Price hiKE!

As usual, salary increment never equals the inflation rate with the latter always higher. I patron one of my favourite Japanense restaurant for lunch yesterday. The moment I opened the menu, I see labels were labelled over the old menu price. To my shocking, most items increased by RM1..WAH!!!! This is one of the highest price hike I encountered for food.

Usually, price increased about RM0.20 to RM0.40. Well..it's still bearable. However, with an additional increase of RM1, I would say it's a bit too much. I also understand from my colleagues the food price at the food court has increased equivalently. That makes lunching at food court more expensive now.

If you could agree with me, standard of living in Malaysia has risen so much. Can the lower income earner sustain the increasing standard of living? Let's hope no more price increase especially in petrol and toll.
