Just plain lazy

Pardon the lack of entries recently. Just feeling plain lazy especially after the close last week. Things are pretty fine. The close went quite ok with some hiccups here and there. My only complain is that I don't understand the working attitude of the younger generations these days.

To be able to survive in the dynamic working environment that I am in now, I felt that new hiree nowadays lack the initiative to learn. Is it because the younger generations are not so pro-active or they are so complacent with the idea that people will always spoon feed them? I don't know. I just felt that they are so different from when I was a fresh graduate joining the real working world. I am not the only one complaining but have others who had worked long enough to agree on this.

That aside, my recent fad is into Facebook . I have been playing quite a fair bit of Othello (better known as Black and White), Rock Paper & Scissors and Scrabble online. My newfound game for today, Mastermind. It's quite fun after losing touch with the game for many years.

I am on leave today. The thought of going to work tomorrow..ahhh..

LiLi, you sound like you're so old (just kidding) when you said "younger generations" :P
There's a whole host of factors why the fresh grads these days are the way they are. Basically, I reckon it's a combination of having an education system that does not encourage creativity, only rote learning; the fact that all fresh grads know the first few jobs they work in will never last (remember me? :P) as job security does not exist these days; or it can be just plain laziness/idiocy.
And this is happening everywhere in the world, its called a generational shift in attitudes towards work; which is a radicalization of the attitudes of the new workforce participants. Just don't let these people get in your face, and you will be fine :)

Cheers, Jordan.

P.S. I can tell you're addicted to Scrabulous on Facebook :)
