Am I single and available?

YES..I am single..BUT sorry, NOT available!!

During office hour today, I received a weird phone call from a guy via my office phone. From the caller ID, the phone number did not look familiar and I thought it was probably a friend of mine calling from his office. Hence, I picked up the receiver and here's the conversation.

Note: Me (LL), the guy (G)

LL: Hello.
G : Hi. May I speak to Pang Li Li please?
LL: Yes. Speaking here. Who is on the line please? (At the back my mind, I thought it was probably another sales person from the card centre. It's normal to get this kind of call.)
G : I am calling from Ah Moi.com. (I can't remember if he mentioned his name)
LL: Huh? Can you repeat again? (I was asking to ensure I heard him correctly "Ah Moi.com"?)
G : Yes. Ah Moi.com (He spelled it for me)
LL: Ok.
G : Ms.Pang. I need a favour from you.
LL: What is regarding about? (Getting suspicious. Not a friend but need a favour?)
G : I was referred to you from a friend of yours.
LL: And which friend of mine is that?
G : Actually, I do not have the details with me now. (Huh? You don't have my friend's details and you expect me to help you?)
LL : Ok.
G : Ms.Pang. May I ask if you are still single and available? (Huh? Getting puzzled. Why are you asking about my marital status?!)
LL: NOPE! (Without hesitant, I answered no)
G : Oh..it's ok then. Bye.

Oh man!! What a call. Even if I am single and available, I will not say YES!! I am not sure what this guy is trying to achieve and wondering if he is calling from a dating centre. It's just a guess. I am not sure which friend of mine then gave my office number away. Only close friends and family members would know. Hmm...
